The Burlap Wreath

I absolutely LOVE burlap right now...can't get enough of it! And my pinterest pins don't hide this new love very well! LOL I pinned a cute burlap wreath and have made a few since then.
The wreath I found on pinterest is the one with the red flower. Mine is the one with the white flower.Pinned Image

This is how I made it(and it only took me about 30 minutes from start to finish):

Use a 12" or 16" foam wreath ring, depending on what size wreath you want.

You will need some straight pins(any kind will work). I had these left over from my wedding :)

And of coarse the most important part-burlap! My burlap was a little thicker than the burlap used on the pinterest wreath but any kind of burlap will work. Cut squares (I used about 50 3"X3" squares on a 16" faom ring) but just play around with it and find out what works best for the look you are trying to achieve. And my squares aren't perfect by an means, they will be folded and pinned so that doesn't really matter.

Now just start folding your squares. Take two of the opposite corners and bring them together, creating a triangle:

Now take the other 2 corners and join them with the tip of your triangle:

After you do this, a "bubble" will be formed. Now take a pin and put it through the tip of the bubble and pin it into the foam wreath:

Continue doing this all over the foam wreath.
And your final product will look something like this:

I added one of my felt flower pins onto my wreath :)
Have fun & enjoy!

Finally ready!

Ok everything is finally coming together! My twitter, blog and new etsy shop are up and running:) I am so excited to do and share what I love-organize and make fun projects that I find on Pinterest.
Have fun & Enjoy!
